Great Value MIDI Controller – Solid Build and Portable!

I was hunting for a slimline, portable solution to control my DAW setup without breaking the bank, and that's what led me to pick up the Worlde EasyControl.9 MIDI Controller - Slimline Portable USB Control with 4 Memory Banks, 6 Transport Buttons & Plug-n-Play Kit. It promised a decent set of features in a small footprint, making it perfect for taking on the go or keeping my desk tidy.

Setting this little unit up was fairly straightforward; it’s definitely a plug-and-play experience once you get past the initial configuration tweaks—though some buyers noted it takes a moment to dial everything in perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality, especially compared to some cheaper alternatives I’ve seen. Other buyers seem to feel similarly, noting that unlike certain competing models, the plastic fader caps on this device don't seem prone to popping off, which is a huge plus for longevity.

The inclusion of 4 dedicated memory banks is fantastic for quickly swapping between different project templates, and having those 6 essential transport buttons right there makes workflow much faster than mousing around.

Where I ran into minor friction was purely related to the included accessories. The USB cable it ships with is rather short—maybe 70-80 cm—and feels a bit thin, making it somewhat unreliable for my specific setup, so I immediately swapped it out for a longer one. Also, a few others have mentioned wishing it used Type-C instead of Micro USB, which is a fair point for modern gear, but overall, the core functionality is solid.

While one user had trouble sending specific Program Change or Control Change commands, I found that once the initial mapping was done, the knobs and faders sent consistent data without issue.

If you are looking for an excellent entry-level or secondary MIDI controller that offers fantastic functionality for the price point, look no further. It truly punches above its weight class, especially if portability is key. Just be prepared to potentially invest in a slightly better USB cable right away.

Overall, I highly recommend the Worlde EasyControl.9 for producers needing reliable, tactile control without cluttering up their studio space. It’s a keeper!
